This is my 16th year in the Florence Unified School District.  Prior to being the Assistant Principal here at Florence K-8, I was the Assistant Principal at Skyline K-8, the Master Teacher and math teacher at Florence High School and a teacher at Walker Butte.  I love being part of the Gopher team.  My family lives nearby and my two boys come to school here at FK8 also.  I look forward to helping the students and staff continue to grow and achieve greatness.

This is my 26th year in education and my 2nd year in the Florence Unified School District. I earned a B.A in Sociology from the University of Arizona in 1992, a Post-Baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University in 1997, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership with distinction from Northern Arizona University in 2000. I also have endorsements in Early Childhood, Birth-Age 8 and English as a Second Language, K-12.

I started my educational career as a teacher for 10 years in Cottonwood and Apache Junction in Arizona. Then I moved on to the Coolidge Unified School District where I was an Assistant Principal for 6 years and then promoted to a Principal position for 3 years.  I moved to the Florence Unified School District last year and was an Assistant Principal at Copper Basin. For this upcoming 2017-2018 school year, I will be the Assistant Principal at Florence K-8.

I have worked hard during my career and have learned a lot through my different positions in education. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience throughout this time. I have been through many leadership training's that have helped me grow as a school leader. I use my knowledge and training towards making a difference in education.  I look forward to working with the families, staff, and students of Florence K-8 to move the school forward and in the process becoming a part of the Gopher family.
